Free Eye camp treats over 250 patients

A total of 259 patients were treated in the camp. Among them, 40 patients were selected for completely free cataract surgery, and five patients were selected for tear duct (lacrimal) surgery. Chairman of ASH Foundation, Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin, said the initiative was organized as part of the organization’s social responsibility. He noted that many people in the country suffer from various eye-related problems but are unable to receive treatment due to financial constraints. This free eye camp was arranged to support such underprivileged patients. He also expressed hope that similar programs would continue in the future. He further added that the camp provided comprehensive eye care services, including vision testing, cataract patient screening, computerized vision correction, and full ophthalmic consultations under the supervision of five specialist doctors. Alhaj Muhammad Shafi and Family Foundation funded the event to help the helpless people. President of the foundation, Rashid Ahmed, said the initiative was driven by a desire to contribute to society. He expressed his satisfaction in helping rural people and assured that such humanitarian support would continue in the future, InshaAllah.
