Road Accident Survivor Rakib Clings to Hope of Walking Again!
However, on 20 June 2025, a tragic road accident occurred when a covered van suffered a brake failure, leading to a devastating collision. After nearly four hours of rescue operations by the Chattogram Fire Service, Rakib was rescued and admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. In the accident, one of Rakib’s legs was severely injured. According to doctors, there is a risk of amputation, while limb-saving treatment would require multiple complex surgeries and long-term care. His family has already spent over BDT 500,000, but an additional BDT 300,000 is still needed to continue treatment and attempt to save his leg. At this moment, Rakib and his family have exhausted all their resources. Relatives and neighbors have already contributed as much as they can. At this critical moment, society must come forward and stand by his side. That one leg represents Rakib’s dreams, his future, and his hope for survival. By saving a limb, we may be able to save a life and restore hope to an entire family.
